The 100 Days Project

"Yes! Welcome to 2022," is what I said to myself when I woke up this morning, excited to start the day and my spiffy New Year. I yawned, stretched, and promptly pulled a muscle in my back. Excellent.

In an effort to focus my efforts this year, I've given myself a project. What is this project you ask? I'm calling it the 100 Days Project.

Everyday—as early as possible—for the first 100 days of this year, I will:

  1. Write a blog post with a photograph of something around me;
  2. Draw a picture in Procreate;
  3. Get some exercise.
I am telling myself to take a deep breath, and then lower my expectations. This is not an epic journey and not everything will be good. As a matter of fact I expect most things will be crap, but I will be doing that crap consistently.

Consistency is the key.

When I was in CAMP COVID last year the consistency of writing regularly is what kept me from going crazy and by the end of the series I had a nice little rhythm going. The same thing goes for drawing. I'm not an exceptional artist, but I'm okay and like all things I'm better when I practice. JUST LIKE EXERCISE. I don't need to run a marathon, but I'd sure like to get back to not throwing out my back when I yawn. Y'know?

So this is the start of the 100 Days Project. Please feel free to subscribe to the blog so you get notifications, because I left all social media except LinkedIn a few months ago—and the future of my involvement on LinkedIn is tenuous at best.
