100 Days — Writing

Happy Birthday

I plan on being kind to myself as I cobble this together. Inspiration? I'll paw through the pictures on my phone, find one that has a story and write something about it. I'm setting a word count of 750 and will give myself a little reward every time I'm within 10 or 20 words of the limit. Little rewards are just that. Maybe I'll have a nap. Or a bubble bath.

Happy Birthday — I plan on being kind to myself as I cobble this together. Inspiration? I'll paw through the pictures on my phone, find one that has a story and write something about it. There is no fanfare. I've been up since 12:02 AM pondering this day; the day I start the 100 Days of Writing and 100 Days of Doodles, the day I turn 57. 57 is the new 40, right? It is easy to get in ones head about this. What do I write, what do I draw, why did I decide to do this again (writing) and why did I decide to doodle? It's the challenge, yes, but it is also the opportunity to just create stuff out of nothing. No AI. No tablet. If I had it I'd be tapping this out on an old Underwood No. 5 writing machine.

I'm setting a word count of 750 and will give myself a little reward every time I'm within 10 or 20 words of the limit. Little rewards are just that. Maybe I'll have a nap. Or a bubble bath. Or any other such manly pursuit. Which reminds me I have promised myself a MANI-PEDI sometime in the future. It have never done that before and think it will be fun if not life changing. Who knows.

Today's image was taken on August 10th at 17 KM above the earth, specifically 49.04925° N, 121.49000° W, and you can see a forest fire. Thank you WestJet, and thank you for tuning in — there will be more written adventures and doodles in the next 99 days to keep you entertained. Written and doodled by hand.
