Cat Festival

Tomorrow is the CatFest in Calgary and Jenn has a table there beside her sister Colleen. The goal is to introduce Calgary Cat People to Jenn's new book, "A Visit From Krampus." We just picked up boxes and boxes of books and they look amazing.

Last year at CatFest we were sharing Newton's book of cat poetry written by cats for cats, "An Ode To Myself" and for every book you bought I would do a stoopid cat doodle. As the weekend wore on the doodles got more and more time-consuming (note that I did not say good), so this year my job is to do a Stoopid Stick Cat™ for every book sold.

We're also selling six different greeting cards with art and prose from the book, as well as a 666 pack of greeting cards: six cards, six envelopes, and six hairballs (not included).

Anyway, I showed Jenn my practice Stoopid Stick Cat (right) and she insists I'm once again taking this too far. "Just because it has stick legs doesn't make it a stick cat," she explains to me.

Clearly we see the world differently, because I have never drawn a more stick cat than this. Okay, maybe I could do a stick figure with a cat head, and that would be pretty stoopid, so I guess we'll see what falls out of my pen tomorrow.
