Putting the Mess in Messiah

Putting the Mess in Messiah.

You might be wondering about the picture I've associated with this post. I like this picture because it tickles my brain in all the right places and for no other reason. Now that we have that out of the way allow me to continue with today's post because I have unlocked one of the 'Secrets of the Universe'. The key to this whole writing thing is to just sit down and do it, and then do it again, and again, and keep doing it. Much like the fine art of quitting smoking you just need to not smoke, not smoke again and continue not smoking forever. Easy. You’re welcome. I see an entire line of self-help books and programs in my future.

Want to learn how to knit? Buy needles and yarn and start knitting, then knit some more, and continue knitting forever. Pesky heroin habit? Easy-peasey. Don’t put needles in your arm, don’t do it again, and continue not doing it. That will be $19.99 for each program please, cash or etransfer is fine.

I would like to close this wee entry with a bit of wisdom I just made up: Consistently doing and/or not doing things is the secret to doing and/or not doing things in life. Excuse me while I go find a mountain top to sit on.

COMMENTS FROM ASTUTE READERS

"So seriously, that glove picture should have a trigger warning. That shit isn’t right. I can *feel* that finger sticking out and it makes that wiggly spot on my spine wiggle. You know, the one next to the nails-on-chalkboard spot and the spot which is activated when someone is wearing finger socks.

"Also – my muse for the day: why aren’t there any riDICKulously happy recording artists like the early Beach Boys? Where’s modern-day surf music? My Little Deuce Coupe. My Little Honda. Our generation has been gypped." " — Dallas

"Seriously, is that an old MC glove? The thought of missing protection on that digit gives me chills right up to my messed-up clavicle, scapula, and rotator cuff! Retire it whydontcha?" — Barrie
